Geometry of Light is an inmersive artistic intervention by Luftwerk in collaboration with Iker Gil at the German Pavilion in Barcelona and the Farnsworth House in Plano, Illinois. It is envisioned as a contemporary lens for these important masterpieces, highlighting and expanding upon their architectural, material, and landscape features. Geometry of Light establishes a dialogue between these two canonical structures designed by  Mies van der Rohe (with Lilly Reich in the case of the German Pavilion), creating a new interpretative layer extending from the primary elements of its architecture and environment. Geometry of Light continues the series of artistic interventiond in architecturally significant buildings initiated a decade ago by Luftwerk.

Geometry of Light takes place in 2019 to mark three significant dates: the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus, the 90th anniversary of the Barcelona Pavilion and the 50th anniversary since the passing of Mies van der Rohe.
